Yale Smart Cabinet Lock

Yale Smart Cabinet Lock can be installed anywhere with a door or drawer. Typical installations include kitchen or bathroom cabinets and desk drawers. When installing the cabinet lock, we recommend that you install the lock as far from the door hinges as possible

The Yale Smart Cabinet Lock includes the cabinet lock, installation hardware and tape, a CR2 battery, and installation manual.

If you are only installing your cabinet lock with the provided 3M tape, the thickness of the cabinet does not matter. 

If you are looking for a more permanent installation and are opting to use the provided screws, you will need to measure the screw length against the cabinet thickness to ensure the screws will not drill through the cabinet

The cabinet lock will automatically unlock, if the batteries get to a certain level and are not changed. However, this feature can be turned off via the Yale Access App. In the event, you turn off this features and the batteries die, you will need to pull your cabinet door open until the post is released from the lock. The cabinet lock was designed to allow the post to break after a certain amount of force. In the event, your post breaks, we have included a second post, just in case! 

The Smart Cabinet Lock can withstand up to 80 lbs of pulling force.

As long as you have purchased the cabinet lock with Yale Wi-Fi access bridge, it is compatible with Apple HomeKit, Smart Things, Google Assistant, and Alexa.
